About the Garments
“There is, has been, and will always be a certain group of people whom inspiration visits.
It’s made up of all those who’ve consciously chosen their calling and do their job with love and imagination…
Their work becomes one continuous adventure as long as they manage to keep discovering new challenges in it.”
Wislawa Szymborska, 1996
Yellow House is a community based multi-disciplinary child development service organization that provides education, therapeutic services and outreach to children with disabilities, and their carers, with the fundamental belief that communication is a basic human right that should be accessible and achievable by all.
Our Goals:
1. To offer free or affordable (re)habilitation and educational support services to children with disabilities.
2. To provide access to books and other resources, and create locally produced education materials to individuals, families and teachers who work with children with disabilities.
3. To support the growth of the speech language therapy profession in East Africa so that more children can receive therapy.
We care about children.
We care about children with disabilities.
Here, there, everywhere.
But the work we are currently engaged in happens in collaboration with Kenyan registered Community Based Organizations… we hope you will join us in the work that needs to be done.
